I have been working in the trade mark profession for over 30 years. The first 12 years were spent in-house, during which I was more involved with company structures, M&A activity and due diligence. I recall spending a rainy weekend holed in a data room in Cheapside. I have now been working in private practice since 2000. In that time, I have worked for a wide variety of clients in very different commercial fields and dealt with some interesting cases. Some of the more surprising areas of law I have had to become acquainted with during this time include human right legislation, royal prerogative and even maritime law.
