Join IP Inclusive for a session focused on men's mental health and wellbeing during lockdown.
We will hear from a number of speakers on the theme of “What did you do to keep busy during lockdown?” The emphasis is on YOU and what you did for yourself. Did you make jam? Record an album? Research your family history? Restore a chaise-longue or write a book?
IP Inclusive is looking for people to share the things they focussed on for themselves during lockdown. Nothing is out of bounds, as long as it did you good!
This event, timed to coincide with the annual Movember campaign focussed on men’s health, will be a chance for people to reveal the benefits of their lockdown activities and interests and share tips to improve wellbeing – however surprising, humdrum or unusual.
There’ll be an opportunity to share reflections in informal groups, and to explore how important it is to immerse yourself now and then in personal time and activities.
If you would be prepared to talk at the event about what’s kept you busy, or just send us a one-line summary for inspiration on the day, please get in touch with Jake Ash at the IPO, via [email protected].
Who can attend
This is an event for IP professionals who identify as men.
Normally IP Inclusive events are open to allies as well, but in this case it is appropriate to provide a space for men to share their unique experiences with one another.
That said, it doesn’t matter what role attendees play in the IP sector, or at what career level or in what type of organisation, so long as the theme strikes a chord with them.
Cost
This event will be free, as are all of IP Inclusive's resources. This is important in order to keep IP Inclusive the right side of the paywall.
However, continuing to run IP Inclusive is expensive.
If you enjoy the event please consider contributing to the 2021-22 fundraising campaign. For individual ad hoc donations, the crowdfunding page is here.
