Gareth has been practicing in the field of trade marks for over 22 years. He acts for a variety of clients from individuals to multinationals, and has particular experience in the management of global trade mark portfolios, counterfeiting issues, the assignment of Intellectual Property Rights and trade mark strategies. Gareth has principal clients in the 'Food and Drink' and 'Cosmetics and Beauty' industries. With a degree in BioMedical Science, he also acts for and has an interest in large clients in the healthcare and life science sectors.

Gareth firmly believes in building strong client relationships. Having been a partner for six years in a previous specialist IP firm, Gareth likes to spend time getting to know his clients, their commercial strategies, and aspirations, before combining this knowledge with an understanding of the parameters of the law. Gareth then uses this understanding to devise transparent, realistic, and effective trade mark strategies which align with the client’s needs.
