Jim is also experienced in trade mark and registered design work and advises on related issues in the UK, Europe and worldwide. He has enjoyed a very high level of success in hearings before the UK IPO and the EPO in both patent and trade mark proceedings.
He also spends some of his time supporting the work of both the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) and is an active member of both CIPA’s Press & PR Committee and CITMA’s Working Group for Liaison with the UK IPO. He regularly gives talks on behalf of CIPA and CITMA as part of the UK IPO’s IP Masterclass sessions and he also took part in and spoke at CIPA Congress 2015.
