CITMA Council nominations 2025

Nominations to sit on CITMA Council for 2025-2027 are now open to Ordinary members and Fellows of CITMA.

Being part of Council allows you to take part in high-level discussions on the strategy and future direction of CITMA. 

Nominations close on Tuesday 25th February at 5pm.

If the number of valid nominations received exceeds the number of available places, a vote will be required. Voting is due to open on Tuesday 4th March.

The election results will be formally confirmed at the CITMA Annual General Meeting held on Thursday 27th March.

Retiring Council members

The following Council members shall retire at the Annual General Meeting on 27th March 2025 but are eligible for re-election for a further term in accordance with Bye-Law 64 and 65:

  • Ian Bartlett
  • Triona Desmond
  • Leanne Hall 
  • Jade MacIntyre 
  • Sharon Mackison
  • Carol Nyahasha
  • Catherine Wolfe 
  • Kathy Wright

Continuing Council members

In accordance with Bye-Law 65, Rachel Wilkinson-Duffy is entitled to serve on the Council for a further two years as Immediate Past-President without election. Therefore, Rachel does not need to be nominated.

The following Council members were elected in 2024 for a two-year period and are due to continue in office for a further term, and therefore do not need to be nominated:

  • Ese Akpogheneta
  • Oscar Benito
  • Richard Goddard
  • Daniel Hardman-Smart
  • Becky Knott
  • Chris McLeod
  • Kate O’Rourke
  • Maggie Ramage
  • Kelly Saliger
  • Ervina Vasiljevic
  • Catherine Wiseman

It has been agreed that for operational reasons Council will not exceed 20 elected places.

We are using specialist election software to conduct our elections, so nominations can be submitted online using the platform.

Fellows and Orinary members of CITMA are able to nominate themselves. You will need two sponsors who are Ordinary members, Fellows or Honorary members who are listed on the Register of Trade Mark Attorneys.
