CITMA team member completes fundraising abseil
CITMA Events Manager Sarah Vaughan has raised nearly £800 for the London Legal Support Trust by abseiling down the ArcelorMittal Orbit in Stratford.

The London Legal Support Trust supports legal advice centres in London and the South East, helping vulnerable people to access legal help.
With two thirds of the UK population unsure of where to get legal advice, this is an important cause for protecting access to justice.

The AcelorMittal Orbit, constructed for the London Olympics in 2012, is a 114.5 metre high sculpture containing the same amount of steel needed to make 265 double decker buses.
It provides the opportunity for the highest freefall abseil in the UK at just under 80 metres.
Our events manager, Sarah Vaughan, volunteered to take part in the abseiling event with a view to raising £500. She has already surpassed this target by nearly £300.
Sarah’s fundraising page is still open, if you have not donated and would like to please click here to help the London Legal Support Trust.
Sarah said: “It was a beautiful day for a white-knuckle descent from 262 feet down the ArcelorMittal

Orbit, which turned out to be far more challenging than I had anticipated!
“I’m grateful to all 22 donors who raised almost £800 to support frontline free legal advice services and my friends/family who showed up on the day to cheer me on.”
CITMA will be talking part in the 2022 London Legal Walk, raising money for the same cause.
