Help shape the future of mental health in the legal sector

Mental health charity, LawCare is inviting professionals from the legal sector to contribute towards its Life in the Law 2025 research.

As part of the research, the charity has launched two separate surveys; one for individuals in the legal sector, and another for organisations, such as law firms, chambers, and in-house legal departments.  

Taking just 10 to 15 minutes to complete, the surveys provide a unique chance to make your voice heard, while remaining entirely anonymous. By gathering insight in the form of real experiences, challenges, and successes, LawCare aims to improve the sector’s understanding of mental health and help drive meaningful change.  

On its website, LawCare highlights the importance of gathering feedback from real people, “Your participation is crucial to the development of practical, evidence-based recommendations that will lead to improvements in working practices to better support mental health.”  

Building on the findings from Life in the Law 2021, questions will focus on topics such as, working hours and job pressure, bullying, harassment and discrimination, and current workplace measures to support mental health and wellbeing. The survey responses will directly inform Life in the Law 2025, with the findings set to be released in October 2025.
