IP Inclusive seeks feedback with launch of new career survey
The Women in IP committee of IP Inclusive is inviting professionals to share an insight into their career journeys in intellectual property (IP).
The IP Inclusive community has developed a new survey to increase its understanding of how different firms and companies support employees and assist with their career progression.
Having recognised a need for greater transparency and advice, the committee has also created a career guidance subgroup to support fellow professionals in moving up the IP ladder.
The short survey welcomes responses from professionals at all levels of their career, consisting of questions such as, ‘Does your firm have readily accessible published criteria for promotion?’ and ‘Does your firm offer training and support to assist you in meeting the criteria for promotion?’, as well as questions centred around mentoring and apprenticeships.
The survey results will be gathered and discussed at length, alongside tips for those who hope to progress in the field, at a future IP Inclusive event.
The Women in IP community is run by a small volunteer committee and several volunteer focus groups, with each coordinating different aspects of their activities, including events, mentoring, and coffee dates.
On its website, IP Inclusive states, “Women in IP provides support and networking not only for those already working within the UK’s IP professions but also to encourage the next generation to join the sector and climb through its ranks.”
Please submit your survey responses by Friday, 7 February – share your feedback here.
