Impact on trainee trade mark attorneys
Trainee trade mark attorneys will have their upcoming assessments completed online it has been confirmed by regulator IPReg.
COVID-19 has meant that universities in the UK are currently closed, affecting all those in training to become trade mark attorneys.
However, online assessments for the courses accredited at the Intellectual Property Regulation Board (IPReg) have been approved by the regulator.
“We found that all the proposals met the criteria and in the unprecedented circumstances consider that the examining agencies are taking appropriate and proportionate steps which best meet their own particular circumstances,” said IPReg.
Nottingham Trent University is planning to provide its April assessments online.
While Bournemouth University, Brunel University, and Queen Mary University of London are also providing their assessments online, which are scheduled to take place in May.
